ITEX was founded on a straightforward but powerful idea: that businesses shouldn't have to wrestle with their own technology. From day one, we set out to take that burden off our clients — providing reliable, human-centred IT support that let them focus on what they do best. ITEX stepped up — working around the clock to migrate clients to secure remote environments, harden their cybersecurity posture, and keep operations running without skipping a beat. The crisis revealed exactly who our clients could count on, and we proved that answer was us.
A Managed Services Company
With a growing client base and deepening trust, ITEX made a deliberate evolution from reactive IT support to a proactive, structured managed services model. We formalised our service delivery frameworks, invested in enterprise-grade tooling, and began aligning our operations to ISO standards — laying the groundwork for the compliance-first approach that defines us today.

What began as a South African success story crossed borders. ITEX expanded its managed IT and security services to clients across Europe, Australia, and the Americas — without compromising the personalised, high-accountability service our local clients had come to rely on. International growth validated our model and sharpened our thinking about what it means to deliver IT services at scale, across time zones and compliance landscapes.
From Consumers to Creators
ITEX embarks on its most ambitious chapter yet — systems development. Drawing on nearly a decade of managing complex IT environments, we are channelling deep operational expertise into purpose-built software. Working alongside our sister company Gasco, the disciplines we live by daily are being engineered into platforms that solve real-world problems at scale. Our flagship community initiative, MySisonke — drawn from the Zulu word meaning "we are together" — works directly with under-resourced schools to provide connectivity, devices, and digital literacy programmes. We don't just donate equipment; we set it up, maintain it, and train the teachers who will use it to change lives.
